Sold for A$860
Leaf Pattern around upper and lower body. Base mark: Robert Thin / Liverpool. (United Kingdom). Goldfields. Vinegar. Chunky applied lip. Leaf pattern to upper and lower body. Aqua. 26 oz. 333 mm. 1840s
Very Good. (7.6). Polished. Has a slightly dull appearance in places. Patch of stain to inner upper neck. Tiny flake at base edge. Some light scratches and the odd scuff mark. An extremely rare bottle, I have never seen one sold before! It has a different lip to the usual Thin's and no registration diamond under the base. We have sold a similar example in Auction 48, but it had the N in Thin is reversed and so this is a variation. Presumably predates their more standard registered examples, hence I have suggested 1840s, but may be early 1850s? Don't miss this one, you won't see another come up for sale any time soon. Estimate: $500-750
